DevOps

DevOps describes an approach to improving processes in the areas of software development and system administration. It is an artificial word made up of the terms Development and IT Operations. It is intended to enable more effective and efficient collaboration between the Dev, Ops and Quality Assurance (QA) areas through common incentives, processes and tools. DevOps aims to improve the quality of software, the speed of development and delivery, and the interaction between the teams involved. However, the main focus represents the culture change towards agile and self-sufficient teams that respect each other’s work and live a continuous improvement process. DevOps is therefore rather a new mindset of people and technology.
