I develop individual applications, APIs and services – clearly designed, cleanly implemented and documented for long-term maintenance.
From problem to maintainable solution
Good software does not begin with as much code as possible, but with a clear understanding of the task. I support technical assessment, design and implementation. My experience covers APIs, client/server systems, server backends, distributed systems, Linux applications and Mesos frameworks.
Design
Together, requirements, interfaces, data flows and sensible technical boundaries become visible.
Implementation
I develop robust backends, APIs and automation with a focus on predictable behaviour and clear responsibilities.
Evolution
Existing code is not replaced automatically. I improve it deliberately, document decisions and keep operations in view.
Technology and platform experience
Depending on the task, I work with Go, JavaScript, AngularJS, ANSI-C, C#, C++, Perl, PHP, COBOL, Turbo Pascal, Object Pascal, Free Pascal, REXX and Ada. Older target systems such as DOS, OS/2, ArcaOS, eComStation and MVS are also part of my experience.
