2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the static website at aventer.biz, including its subpages. It does not automatically apply to external websites linked from this website, especially GitHub, Matrix and clusterd.de. The privacy notices of the respective providers apply to those services.

3. Technical access to the website

When a website is accessed, technically necessary connection data is transmitted to the hosting provider used. This may include the IP address, time of access, requested URL, HTTP status, amount of data transferred, referrer and user agent. This processing serves the secure and stable provision of the website and troubleshooting.

The specific identity of the hosting provider, processors, storage locations and deletion periods must be added before publication. Where processing is necessary to provide and secure the website, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the online service.

4. Contact

If you contact me by email, telephone or through the linked Matrix chat, I process the information you provide to handle your request and communicate with you. Depending on the content of the request, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual measures or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on my legitimate interest in handling contact requests.

The data is deleted once the request has been conclusively handled and no statutory retention obligations or other legal reasons prevent deletion. Specific retention periods must be determined for the individual matter.

5. No analytics or marketing services

6. Accessibility settings and local browser storage

If you deliberately change a display setting in the accessibility menu, that setting may be stored exclusively in your browser’s local localStorage. Only display values such as text size, contrast, reduced motion and stronger link markings are stored.

These values are not transmitted to me, used for analytics or linked to a person. They are not cookies. You can remove them using “Reset” or by deleting the browser storage.

Simply visiting this website does not load external content from GitHub, Matrix or ClusterD. A connection to the respective provider is established only when you click an external link. The provider may process, in particular, your IP address, the time of access and technical browser data. Please consult the privacy policy of the respective provider.

8. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you have in particular the rights of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The supervisory authority responsible for AVENTER must be added before publication.

9. Security and encryption

The website should be provided exclusively through a current HTTPS connection. The concrete TLS configuration and the security measures of the hosting provider must be checked and documented before publication.

10. Updates

This privacy policy must be updated whenever hosting, services used, contact channels, retention periods or the technical implementation change.
